Acrylics for Beginners Class

Wondering what all the fuss about acrylic paints is? Want to try your hand at techniques such as faux wax painting or thick painting? This is the class for you! Please note that the art class will take place at the artist’s private home studio in McKenzie Towne in Calgary.

Session #1 Evenings: Thursdays, September 9th – 27th, 2010. 7 pm – 9 pm
Session #1 Daytime: Mondays, September 13th – October 4th, 2010. 1 pm – 3 pm

Duration: 4 weeks per Session

Designed for people with no previous art experience who are interested in the world of ACRYLIC PAINTING! You will learn many different techniques and special effects using acrylic paint/mediums. This is a hands-on course for anyone who wants to just get creative and get painting. Learn about thick painting techniques, glazing or “oil paint effect”, photo transfer, mixed media, faux wax painting and more. If you would like to continue painting at home, a full materials kit will be available for purchase after the 4-week session has ended.

Summer Hours

Ljubica (the store owner) will be away from August 4th to August 18th and so Studio Todorovic will be operating under very limited hours. Please note the following summer business hours of operation: July 24th – August 21st, Open Monday-Saturday from 11 am to 5 pm.

Closed July 30th, July 31st and August 2nd (Civic Holiday).

Regular business hours resume August 23rd, 2010.
